The manufacture sector in Albania is powerful and dynamic, thanks to the various successful enterprises’ activities in the textile and footwear industry. Through this vast experience and workforce, Albania offers a significant potential to increase its economic diversity and to advance its activity from textile and footwear industry to the automotive industry. There are over 10,000 companies in this sector, while food-processing companies dominate. According to the 2019 records, the exports of textiles-footwear accounts around 40% of the total exports and more than 40% of the workforce in the manufacturing industry. Meanwhile, this sector offers several collaborations with well-known European brands, contributes to 15% of GDP, and provides 11% of total employment.
